Welcome

I want to welcome you to my site and give a quick explanation of why I'm doing this. In the past, I've written a lot about various topics usually having to do with apologetics (defending the faith). Now, however, my focus is shifting toward studying the Bible in general.

Certainly, given my inclination toward apologetics, things will likely lean heavily in that direction. Still, there is much more to the Bible than that and one of my absolute favorite things to do is study and talk about the Bible. Small group studies are great, but there is still too much passion for this that is left over that perhaps writing about it here will help.

That being the case, there are a few caveats to cover. First, I am not a credentialed theologian and do not tout myself as any sort of authority on these matters. Therefore, you are encouraged to do a couple of things.

First, you are encouraged to check out everything I may say here and test it against the teachings of the scriptures for yourself. There will inevitably be things that I write that are simply wrong and do not accurately reflect what the Bible teaches.

Second, please feel free to leave feedback. If it seems like I got something wrong, I am open to polite, friendly disagreement and correction, or at the very least discussion, about anything I write. It seems to me that this has the effect of making both parties better, smarter, and more equipped with Truth.

With that, I'll start working on what I think might be a good starting point and will go from there. I hope to hear from people and interact with them as that makes this process so much more valuable and enjoyable.
